The CONNECTIONS Training Project provides local district and voluntary agency staff with training experiences to aid in the comprehensive knowledge of the New York State Child Welfare documentation system, CONNECTIONS, necessary to fulfill basic job responsibilities.

Distance Learning Project (DLP)

The Distance Learning Project is part of the video production arm of the Professional Development Program. Right now, "DLP" is under exclusive contract to serve the Bureau of Training and Workforce Development (formerly OHRD) in the New York State Office of Family and Children Services' Office of Human Resources.

The Early Childhood Education and Training Program (ECETP) has an ongoing commitment to providing the highest quality training services.

For 10 years, ECETP videoconferences have given child care professionals in New York State a convenient, cost-free way to access the latest information and ideas on early care and education and the best practices for caring for children.

Educational Incentive Program (EIP)

The Educational Incentive Program (EIP) is a scholarship program designed to assist child care providers obtain the training and education they need to provide quality care to children.

Health and Safety Training

The Professional Development Program provides Health and Safety training to ensure that new providers are prepared for their responsibilities. They must complete health and safety training approved by the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS).

Regulator Training

The mission of the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, Bureau of Early Childhood Services, is to promote and protect the health, safety and development of children in out-of-home child day care settings. The Regulator Training Program supports this mission by providing instruction on a variety of topics relevant to the work child day care regulatory staff.

Medication Administration Training (MAT)

The New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) has specific regulations about giving medication to children in child day care settings. The regulations require all child day care programs that choose to administer medication, other than over-the-counter topical ointments, sunscreen and topically applied insect repellent, to meet certain conditions including having staff who are certified to administer medication in a child care setting.
