What types of scholarships, grants and rebates can I apply for?

Educational Incentive Program (EIP)
The Educational Incentive Program (EIP) is a scholarship program funded by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (NYS OCFS). Its purpose is to assist child care providers in paying for the professional development training and education they need to provide quality care to children.

Scholarship Enrichment Program (SEP)
The Scholarship Enrichment Program (SEP), is sponsored by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services (NYSOCFS) with funds provided by the Child Care and Development Fund. This program provides scholarship assistance to staff who perform direct services of child day care registration and inspection as employees of:

• New York State’s Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) agencies
• Other agencies with which local Departments of Social Services contract

The scholarship funds enable staff to access high quality training, education and professional development to better serve child care providers.

The MAT Grant Program
The MAT Grant Program is for day care facilities to offset the cost of the training to ceritfy staff to administer medication in a child care setting.

Health and Safety Rebate
The Health and Safety Rebate offsets the cost of obtaining Health and Safety training which is required for first time licensed or registered family or group family daycare providers.
